Courtney R. Phillips, Administrator
Courtney Phillips of Indianola is the CEO of South Sunflower County Hospital, which includes Indianola Family Medical Group, Delta Primary Care, Delta Surgical Clinic, and Phillips Health Center. Prior to South Sunflower County Hospital, Courtney served as the Chief Financial Officer at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi.
Courtney has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare, government, and not-for-profit organizations. In 2018, Courtney was appointed by Governor Phil Bryant to represent the
Second Congressional District on The Board of Mental Health. In 2019, Courtney was again appointed by Governor Phil Bryant to serve on the Rural Healthcare Taskforce. Courtney also serves as a member of the Mississippi Hospital Association, Rural Hospital Solutions, and Delta Council, is President of the Rural Hospital Alliance, Treasurer of the Delta Trauma Board, and Secretary / Treasurer for the Mississippi Healthcare Executives, and Independent Chapter of the American College Healthcare Executives. He is an active member of the Rotary of Indianola Club and Indianola Chamber of Commerce.
Mr. Phillips holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Delta State University.
Courtney is married to the former Katherine Robinson and they have two daughters, Carlile Koestler (Rob) of Greenville, Mississippi, and Galen Ballard (Patrick) of Madison, Mississippi.
