South Sunflower County Hospital Wound Care Center offers specialized, outpatient care for non-healing wounds. Our team of physicians, nurse practitioners, and nurses use a multi-disciplinary approach, using a variety of clinical treatments, therapies, and support services to promote healing of chronic wounds and help patients recover as quickly as possible. 

Wound Care Services

Who May Benefit?

Individuals with wounds that have not healed within - weeks or that are not completely healed within six weeks may benefit from our clinical wound services. Some of the indications for wound therapy include:  

  • Diabetic, Neuropathic, Pressure, and Ischemic Ulcers

  • Venous Insufficiency

  • Traumatic and Surgical Wounds

  • Vasculitis

  • Burns

  • Peristomal Skin Irritations

Services Include:

  • Infection Control

  • Pain-Reducing Wound Dressings

  • Wound Debridement, including Surgical

  • Wound and Edema Management Techniques

  • Bio-engineered Skin Placement

  • Vacuum-Assisted Wound Closure

  • Diabetic and Nutritional Education

Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Friday:          7:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
