The History of South Sunflower County Hospital told by

Dr. Walter Rose, a role model and a man of distinction.

Upon his retirement from South Sunflower County Hospital,

in July 2017, Dr. Walter Rose has dedicated over 54 years to

the Hospital, earning him the title of the Historian of the

Hospital. With a servant’s heart, Dr. Rose has selflessly

served others through his annual mission trips to Honduras

and work within his church, First United Methodist Church.
